BS5837 Tree Constraints Plans (TCP) and BS5837 Tree Protection Plans (TPP)
The tree measurements will be used to produce a Tree Constraints Plan (TCP). It is no longer a requirement to provide the TCP under the revised BS5837, but it is essential to establish the impact of any proposed development and they are used to produce the Tree Protection Plan (TPP).
The TPP will show the locations of tree protection fencing and ground protection measures in relation to other site features, as well as areas of no-dig or hand-dig construction, hazardous materials, equipment and material storage areas, and site welfare facilities and access.
We at Arbor Cultural Ltd. can produce both constraints and protection plans either using AutoCAD or in hand-drawn scale drawings.
If the AutoCAD option was required, then the relevant plan view DWG or DXF files with the tree locations plotted would need to be provided. If the hand-drawn option was required, then a suitably scaled plan view drawing in hard copy would need to be provided.
If a topographical survey has not been produced then it would be possible to produce one using a Mobile Mapper GPS plotter to produce results, accurate to sub-meter accuracy for tree positions, but our preference is to work with a topographical survey produced by a surveyor.
